The 5'7 midfielder from Vancouver, British Columbia has a strong technical foundation, excellent game awareness and the ability to break lines with her distribution. Fujita has most recently competed with Fusion Football Club in the BCSPL, where she has played for the last three years. This past season, Fujita helped her team win the Provincial Cup and secure a ticket to Nationals.

A strong student off the pitch, Fujita is an Honour Roll student and will be studying engineering.

Fujita has expressed her excitement to be joining the Black & Gold this fall.

"Dalhousie's strong athletics and academics will allow me to enrich myself in a positive post-secondary experience which balances these two important things in my life. Alongside this journey, I will get the opportunity to explore Eastern Canada and create a new community in Halifax!" says Fujita. "I'm so grateful to be having the opportunity to move across Canada in pursuit of my athletic and academic dreams. I'm ecstatic knowing I will soon be a Tiger and get the chance to play alongside skilled players from all throughout Canada! I'd like to thank Coach Andrew and Coach Cindy for making this such an easy decision."

Coach Cindy Tye is looking forward to welcoming Fujita to Halifax.

"Kiera will join us from Fusion FC, Provincial Cup champions and a top team in the BCSPL. A midfielder, Kiera has great vision and awareness and is able to escape tight spaces in possession. Her ability to break lines on the dribble and with a pass will add to our ability to get into attacking areas. Out of possession, Kiera is able to anticipate and break up attacks to win the ball back for her team. An excellent student, we would like to welcome Kiera to the Tigers!"

The Tigers are continuing to build towards AUS success as they welcome Kiera Fujita to the Dalhousie women's soccer program.
