Queen's Cross Country & Distance Track student-athlete Saul Taler was named to Canada's U20 National Cross Country team for the upcoming World Cross Country Championships.
Taler (Kinesiology) made the U20 national team based on his results at the national championships held in London, Ont. this past weekend. Taler earned his spot after finishing 11th in the 8KM event at the national championships with a final time of 25:30.1.
He will compete in the Men's U20 6K at the World Cross Country Championships.
"Saul has continued to add to our Mens' team successes this past season with making his first national team," said Queen's Cross Country & Distance Track Head Coach Mark Bomba.
"This is a great opportunity for Saul to improve upon his first year at Queen's as he becomes an integral part of this group moving forward."
The World Cross Country Championships will take place on Jan. 10 in Tallahassee, Florida.
